Conference

Welcome to the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) Statewide Student Conference Web page! CSTEP is an academic enrichment program designed to foster student’s academic success in preparing for professional licensure or careers in the scientific, technical, or health-related fields. On April 16-18, 2004 Syracuse University hosted its 12th Annual Conference at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George. The conference began as a way to showcase the research and internship experiences of CSTEP students in 1992. Approximately 500 students and staff attend the conference each year from over 40 schools and colleges across the state of New York.

The three-day conference includes motivational workshops, gourmet meals, and evening entertainment. The highlight of the conference, the poster presentation competition, takes place on Saturday afternoon. An average of 70 students compete in Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Human Services categories to become the best in their area. Awards are given to each poster presentation participant.
