Gateway Learning Community  Gateway Learning Community

The Gateway Learning Community is designed to develop competent and well-rounded scholars for post-baccalaureate education. Our goal is to build a community where residents challenge and support one another as they prepare for their transition to life after Syracuse University. Residents are required to attend a weekly seminar that will assist them in constructing short and long-term goals relating to future academic success. Activities will include completing fellowship applications, GRE/MCAT/GMAT/LSAT test preparation, budgeting for graduate education, networking and much more. Residents will also participate in a graduate school tour at the beginning of the academic year, as well as a number of community related events. This learning community will be housed in Slocum Heights on South Campus. In addition, this experience will be open to students who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors in the Fall 2005, but preference will be given to seniors and juniors.
