New SUccess Series Events Designed to Help Students Toward Academic Goals

SUccess Series, a new Syracuse University initiative, is part of the University’s
holistic approach to equipping first-year students for a positive SU experience.
SUccess Series’ free seminars, in which educators, administrators and students
will lead group discussions on academic coping skills and strategies, are
designed to give students an early academic edge.

CSTEP Announces 2004 ARISE Scholars
The Collegiate Science and Technology and Entry Program (CSTEP) at Syracuse
University has selected seven students to participate in the 2004 Academic
Research and Internship in Science and Engineering (ARISE) Academy.

CSTEP & The Rebecca Lee Pre-Health Society

The Rebecca Lee Pre-Health Society is an organization designed to promote and encourage a diverse group of pre-health students to graduate, medical and dental schools. Pollard to Address CSTEP Conference
On April 17, William Pollard—President of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and former founding dean of Syracuse University’s College of Human Services and Health Professions—will deliver the keynote address at the 12th annual conference of SU’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP).

CSTEP to Host First Baccalaureate
The inaugural Baccalaureate for Syracuse University’s Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) will take place in Hendricks Chapel on May 7 at 7 p.m.; the Commencement-weekend ceremony is designed to celebrate aspects of moral life and its relation to higher education through song, speeches, and readings from sacred texts.
