Parents and Friends

Welcome Parents and Friends!
If you are a parent of a SU student, the information you will find here will be helpful as you assist your son or daughter in deciding if CSTEP is right for him/her. We understand how important that decision is since the CSTEP experience is a life-altering experience for a select group of scholars.

Here is where young people become well-respected scholars, where they hone transferable skills, and develop holistically.

Our mission is to develop, support, and retain competent, well-rounded scholars for post-baccalaureate education and professional achievement. Our vision is to be a leading Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program in the State of New York and the principal source of student enrichment in science, technology, engineering, and pre-licensure. The information you will find on these pages will help you understand and appreciate that vision and the significant progress we are making toward achieving it. We invite you to explore the CSTEP website at Syracuse University.

  Goals:

  • Improve retention, development, and recognition of students.
  • Develop and recognize student and professional staff.
  • Increase local, state, and national visibility.
  • Form partnerships with faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Licensed Fields.
  • Reinvigorate our bond with Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) and establish a link to the Ronald E. Mcnair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program.
