This paper will focus on my ARISE summer experience at Syracuse. It will reflect on the two internships that I completed during my stay. My first internship was at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center where I worked with outpatient veterans and psychiatric patients where I helped with group therapy and general interaction with patients. My second internship was shadowing Dr. Luis Castro at the St. Joseph's Westside Family Health Center, where I was exposed to working with the underserved population.
